Self Center Slumper Mold

Self Center Slumping Mold for Fused Glass Lamp Shades. This mold and the slumping process that goes with it enables fusers to more easily create a properly balanced sculptural shape - all in a single firing. It is stainless steel and has a vertical center rod to guide the glass as it slumps into the mold. Various profiles can be accomplished by maintaining close control over temperature and time. This one mold can produce multiple shapes from a shallow rounded bowl to a deep conical funnel. The low and slow firing scheduled ensures that the texture and component details are preserved.
